HO, HO, HO … Santa took some time from his busy schedule Friday to visit Southwest Harbor. After arriving on a fire truck and lighting the town’s Christmas tree, the man in red helped light a bonfire in the post office lot and visited the Common Good Café before heading to Harbor House for photos. CHRISTMAS CREPES … The Tremont Consolidated School hosted a breakfast with Santa on Saturday with the proceeds benefitting the sixth- and seventh-grade French class trip to Quebec. SOLD THE STORE … Laurie Forrest is in her last few weeks behind the counter of the Hull’s Cove General Store, where she has worked for most of the last 27 years. She is selling the business, and property owner Wyman Tapley is selling the land, to new owners Jason and Joe Ventry. The store will close Dec. 24 for some renovations.
